JELLYBELLIES are a fantastic pattern to fish with in shallow water, where pike spend a lot of their time during warmer weather. Their lightweight dressing means you can retrieve the fly much more slowly and enticingly, without it sinking too quickly and snagging the bottom. This has the effect of the fly remaining visible to the pike for longer, which is all it takes sometimes to get them to attack! Added to that is their amazing fish-like movement when retrived in short, sharp jerks.........and watch 'em MASH IT UP!

They are called JELLYBELLIES because the entire belly of the fly is made from Spectrum Fibre, which has incredible movement and attraction properties. Really lovely natural looking movement is obtained when fished at the slowest speeds. The long tail of the fly also flutters enticingly, and gives a kick every time you pull the line, and extends the length of the pattern without risk of fouling the hook. 

This is a fly with a big profile when viewed from any direction, which means it can be seen from a long way off! My own favourite fly at the moment!!!!!!!!!
