Turn your pike flies into something else with these buoyant plasic eyes. Glue in place either side of the head and coat with Mr. Bond for best results. Your flies will take on a crazy action due to the buoyancy and irregular shape of the resulting fly head once fitted with these things. Makes your flies irresistable to all predatory species, especially pike.

Depending on the size of the hook used, you can even create "Booby"-type patterns and fish them just off the bottom. But my own favourite method is to make flies of "negative" buoyancy and just twitch them back very slowly after casting. Fantastic on an Intermediate line as the fly follows the path of the line superbly, wriggling and kicking it's tail in between twitches on the line.

You can fish your flies so slowly on a floating line, even dead-stop. When you twitch the line the fly kicks it's tail and swims forward, then as soon as you stop the fly kicks out sideways, giving the pike a "broadside" view of the fly. Fish often attack flies fitted with these eyes from underneath, which suggests that it is the action of the fly that interests them.
