"The "smaller" one weighed 30lbs 4 oz and was the answer to my prayers. I caught it first cast in 2007 on a local gravel pit on a fly I had tied the previous night, and I was so excited I couldn`t fish on ! I had thought my chance had gone when I had a 28.8 from the river Nene on fly two years before,( almost a record for the river) see pic, and I don`t believe it had ever been taken before ! The big one weighed 40lbs 8oz and took after 5 hours of casting on a horrendously windy day with no takes !! It was a complete (but wonderful) FLUKE !!"
