Lots of pike fly venues in Britain contain stocks of small wild brown trout to a greater or lesser degree, and in most of them you could consider small brownies to be on the daily menu on at least a fairly regular basis. This fly is tied to represent a six inch long brown trout, spots and all, and could be said to be a reasonably close copy (allowing for regional colour variations in the natural) wherever you may live. I'd love to drag one about on Lough Mask or Mentieth or Chew. Maybe this year I will!

PLEASE NOTE........these flies are tied to order ONLY and typically take about a week before being tied and shipped. They are also slightly different to what is on display......as I find new and better ways of tying them the patterns are improved and look more lifelike. I hope you are satisfied with the outcome! Everything can be improved upon and I always try to tie the best-looking flies that money can buy.
