When originally designing this range of flies, the idea was to tie patterns of all the commonly occurring baitfish in existence in Great Britain, so as to provide ample coverage as it were wherever we ended up fishing. This pattern did not immediately spring to mind however, until I remembered back to old magazine articles about the big shoals of powan in Loch Lomond and some of the waters in the Lake District. I tied the prototypes and took them fishing and very good they were too, but I would love to try them somewhere where they actually exist! Can't help thinking how much it looks like a Zalt lure though.....................

PLEASE NOTE........these flies are tied to order ONLY and typically take about a week before being tied and shipped. They are also slightly different to what is on display......as I find new and better ways of tying them the patterns are improved and look more lifelike. I hope you are satisfied with the outcome! Everything can be improved upon and I always try to tie the best-looking flies that money can buy.
