New version of our original UV Curing lamp for use with PIKETREK Mr. Bond UV curable resin. Slightly different case design features a tapered opening which enables taller flies to be stood in an upright position at one end of the lamp whilst curing. This is tremendously useful when filling in large voids on top of the head of your flies.

This design also features a base that is almost level with your work surface, enabling flies to be layed down flat without falling out. This also enables you to stack flies on top of each other which allows more flies to be dried at any one time.

Apply Mr. Bond U.V. resin to the desired part of the fly and expose it under the lamp. The light source hardens the resin in a few seconds. Miraculous!

To fill large holes or gaps, fill in a bit at a time and expose under the lamp till hard, normally a few seconds, and then continue adding more until full. This method saves any "blobs" of un-cured resin forming lumps and bumps and spoiling the finish.

Varnish over the top with normal fly-tying varnish, or simply leave your fly for around ten minutes to half an hour under the lamp until the resin has completely cured and acheived maximum strength, job done. Perfect results every time!

Mr. Bond can be "thinned" by warming the bottle in warm water for a few minutes, or "thickened" by putting the bottle in the fridge for a short time......simples!

The bulbs in these lamps last a long time but should you need a spare bulb we have them available at £3.95 each.

SAFETY WARNING! Although 9 watts does not sound very powerful, do not gaze into these lamps for any length of time, as Ultra-Violet light can damage your eyes. It is an extremely powerful form of light and can give you a nasty case of "welding-flash"!
